Comfortable in hand and perfectly sized for Japanese tea. Enjoy chilled drinks during warmer seasons and feel the gentle warmth of hot tea through the textured clay during colder months.

The design pairs natural coarseness of sanded Shigaraki clay with a smooth glazed center, creating a clear contrast between raw texture and refined surface. This balance enhances both the tactile experience and the presentation of whatever you serve, bringing warmth, clarity, and quiet elegance to everyday use.

About Sand

Sand, a collection all about texture. Each piece reveals the natural coarseness of Shigaraki clay on the outside, while a smooth glaze is applied to the center to highlight whatever you serve. This creates a gentle transition between rough and refined, making the pieces both tactile and practical.

*Because each piece is handmade, variations in clay and glaze can affect the final size and weight. Care

Unless otherwise noted above, all items can be used following the general guidelines below. These suggestions help ensure the longevity of each piece and maintain its appearance over time.

Dishwasher:
Our items are dishwasher-safe; however, we highly recommend placing them separately and leaving at least one empty slot between pieces. This helps prevent accidental damage caused by high-pressure water or collisions inside the machine.

Microwave:
Most items are microwave-safe. However, please avoid using any piece that includes metal elements (such as gold or silver accents, or Kintsugi repairs involving metal) as they may spark or cause a fire.

Oven:
We do not recommend using any of our items in an oven.
