Our deep bowl is designed for generous portions. It is the definitive choice for satisfying ramen, udon, and other soup noodles, as well as hearty stew dishes, or even serving popcorn for a movie night.

The design features engobes applied using a brush, beautifully evoking the fluidity and energy of Japanese calligraphy. Although the major glaze obscures the original color of the clay, small sections intentionally left beneath the surface serve as a reminder of Shigaraki’s iconic, natural earth. The subtle, flowing texture adds a sense of refined movement, turning each piece into a visually appealing and elegant canvas that complements both modern and traditional table settings.

About Brush

Brush, a collection features bowls painted with layered engobe applied by brush, evoking the fluidity of Japanese calligraphy. Although without the hint of its original color from the top, small sections of clay at the bottom and the dents on the surface remind you the pieces are made with Shigaraki’s iconic earth.

Care

Unless otherwise noted above, all items can be used following the general guidelines below. These suggestions help ensure the longevity of each piece and maintain its appearance over time.

Dishwasher:
Our items are dishwasher-safe; however, we highly recommend placing them separately and leaving at least one empty slot between pieces. This helps prevent accidental damage caused by high-pressure water or collisions inside the machine.

Microwave:
Most items are microwave-safe. However, please avoid using any piece that includes metal elements (such as gold or silver accents, or Kintsugi repairs involving metal) as they may spark or cause a fire.

Oven:
We do not recommend using any of our items in an oven.
