This sake cup showcases the natural surface qualities of Shigaraki ware, defined by earthy textures and warm color transitions inherent to the clay. Feldspar and quartz sand within the material surface during firing, giving the cup its distinctive roughness and depth. The glaze enhances these qualities while preserving the clay’s raw character.

The textured surface continues inside the cup, creating a tactile drinking experience that balances rustic strength with subtle elegance. Suitable for serving sake or small portions of beverages, this cup offers both visual and material richness.
